like glok said i would speak more with your counselor about this issue. how do you see this as an addiction? is it interfering with your life? you said you were looking at healthier ways to spend your free time, is there something you are avoiding doing by playing these games? i don't personally play these games but i know a bunch of people that do and i know there are some that will buy new cards, play in tournaments, renew subscriptions and so on instead of taking care of responsibilities like bills or staying up all night playing and missing work/school the next day. but then on the other hand i have friends that are able to balance going to work/school full time and still play games, and even one of them works as a judge for the magic tournaments occasionally. it's all about perspective and priorities.
