Not everyone develops it for various reasons - some are just more naturally resilent, others have a good support network. Some people are just more sensitive, emotional, emphathetic. Everyone has a breaking point, but just as everyone has differences in things like how athletic they are, or how fast their metabolisms are, what they find hilariously funny, we all have different threshholds in regards to how our minds respond to trauma.

I don't (personally) really see how that's something to question. Different people = different reactions.
