Hello dear Jackie948. Yes I too must say I'm no Dr or professional health worker in any way. However, I do suffer from various OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder(s) and this usually stems from anxiety, either a general anxiety or specific anxiety. It doesn't really matter the which, all serious anxiety can be crippling. It takes a long time just to leave the house when having to first go through these 'rituals'. Yes, they may seem silly or annoying to you and other people, but it's crucial for your sister to undertake them HER WAY. I'd honestly say she needs professional help, by therapy like CBT/DBT and/or meds. Could you start by asking her if she'd go with you to seek some help? There's no overnight ''cure'', but understanding and a proficient Dr and/or therapist WILL help a great deal. HUGS. XXXXXXXXx
