I can relate to your experience. When in an episode, you don't feel that it will ever end & the comfort of being in bed seems the best option during this time. However, I remember in each episode of my own I ALWAYS felt unaccomplished & ashamed after sleeping 17+ hours each day. Depression can drain you & take away any ounce of energy you would need to complete any tasks. I understand how hard it gets but believe me, it gets better. I'd recommend talking to a therapist if possible & perhaps, a psychiatrist, to discuss the option of medication. This combination helped me tremendously. And once again it WILL get better
