Happy to hear the semi-good news. I hope your application for disability benefits is ultimately approved, as soon as possible.
But I also hope you have a good Plan B, or maybe a Plan B AND a Plan C. I've seen so many people depend entirely on a favorable decision by the government and end up getting disappointed.
The government is generally good, and generally does the right thing.
But the government is operated by people, and people are not perfect. Mistakes are made. Injustices are done, and sometimes never corrected. That's why we all must be resourceful, prepared, wise, and always have a good Plan B that is ready to go, just in case the government lets us down. Even if the government should happen to let us down, life goes on.
The main thing is that WE don't let OURSELVES down.
As much as possible, we must be as much like the hardy pioneers who settled the American continent, or the hardy Native Americans who lived her for thousands of years before that.
I am 100% in favor of you getting disability benefits. But I just believe that the government is not perfect, and we must be prepared for various possible scenarios, so that we are not devastated by an outcome that is possible. Well, good luck!
