I am going thru exactly what you are. I also get the shakes when the anxiety is high, this is how I wake up in the morning before I go to work. I also make mistakes at work when things are out of whack.
I am currently on med leave because of the stress and I am going thru med changes right now and have had bad side effects so now I have to start a new medication. I am also on intermittent FMLA at the company I work for. My supervisor knows about my BP and OCD, which I did not have to tell him but he is supportive and Human Resources handles my med leave and FMLA, which only involves a few people so it is confidential. They follow all of the laws for people with serious illnesses. You live in Canada so I don't know how the laws work for you. Due to the documentation I have from my doctor and what Human Resources has they have no reason to let me go because when I am at work I do an excellent job. I don't know if this helps, but I wish you the best and maybe someone from Canada can help you out with your questions.
