Yesterday I got a haircut. (Hold the applause! That's not the victory part!) Usually, I'm very uncomfortable at feeling forced to make "small talk" with the hair stylist, but for some reason I actually decided to not only talk, but initiate the conversation!
It went well enough that near the end I asked her if she had a facebook page-- Now that IS a big victory for me, as normally I would just go home and regret not doing anything. Even after getting her FB name, my depressed thinking had me believe she probably gave me the wrong spelling or would just ignore my friend request. So I actually decided to not send a request last night, partially out of fear and partially I just didn't want to look like a stalker. Much to my surprise, when I logged on today I found that SHE sent me a friend request first! That was a good feeling and I'm glad I took the chance to say something for once!
