Alright, first of all, I don't have any mental illnesses, but my friend does
My friend, Epsilonite --- or Jeff, has OCD. He is too afraid to talk to anyone and his parents neglect him therapy. His mother spent all his money so he went to live with his father, he has a very poor computer as well and now receives no money. He is off of his pills because he can't afford them or something, and his father has neglected him therapy and he is too afraid to say anything to him.
I saw the OCD section of the main website, but, Jeff could do none of these things. I only know him over the internet, but it's sad talking to him, he even has suicidal fantasies (he's not one of those people who slit their wrists and listen to Death Metal and stuff). He is too afraid to talk to someone over the internet like this. I would tell him about this place, but he said he would feel bad if I did something like this, so I am doing it under his nose.
This is how he describes his problem:
"Take away all your talking impulsiveness, your friends, your cash, and everyone ignores you; have OCD, social phobia, and own a crappy computer and keep all your thoughts and emotions bottled up. Do that for more than half of your life." - Jeff.
I had some social phobia and some friendship problems (I had extreme problems in a certain middle school grade). I've tried to help him out, such as offer him one of my old computers (with a fried motherboard, I'm trying to find a replacement) but he seems to refuse such things. He cannot self treat himself, he is in no position, and everyone around him does not help him.
What can he do? What can I say to him? Please help!!
