What I do in these situations is just let it go. Nothing you can do, or not do, can change it now. It was just 1 meal, that's all. There are another 20 meals that you eat during a week (based on 3 meals a day, for 7 days).
Whats done is done. You've learnt from it- you have learnt that maybe you should be a bit more prepared if you know you are going to be somewhere later than usual etc. Pack some snacks (fruit etc) or eat earlier.
No harm, no foul.
