I finally grew to prefer being single. I felt, after my divorce, that NOW was the time to meet "Mr. Right," wrong! I'm not saying you won't find a wonderful relationship; you probably will! But for me, the chaos of dating, the emo rollercoaster of doubt, questioning my own judgment after many failed attempts at bonding, the recovery time (omg!), I finally decided to try a different tack (as in changing course). That is, finding contentment/fulfillment alone. I did this by going back to school for my Master's degree.
Do you have the option of pursuing a course of study that is of great interest to you? That is very rewarding, and also builds self-esteem. And, who knows?, you might meet someone who appreciates you while you are pursuing your own goals!
