I'm sorry to hear about your situation. I'm sorry I'm pretty tired so I'm just trying to think of a few things that may help before I turn in. There is an international helpline run by an organisation in the UK who may be able to offer emotional support - it's called the Samaritans - if you google them you should find them easily. I have used them a number of times - and the help can vary a little, but overall they can be very good.
They might be able to help you think a bit more clearly about how to cope with the situation.
Also, I don't know if you have a faith, but I have found some faith helplines helpful too.
It sounds like you could really do with an advocate of some kind for the situation with your husband. I'm not sure what's available in the US - here in the UK mental health charities can provide one which can be invaluable.
I hope these thoughts help a little bit and that you are able to get a good night's rest.
