I was thinking about you today. I remembered reading your post about your PA yesterday. This morning, my admin. assistant was being SO snarky towards me. I was TRYING to find out if there was a way I could make a particular task (that NEEDS to be done ASAP) easier for her. I was TRYING to be helpful. She was so determined to be contrary, though, she kept interrupting me before I finished what I was saying. Finally, I lost my patience and said, "Just let me finish the question BEFORE you say NO!!!" Grrrrr...

I'm so easy to get along with. Seriously. I'm calm and pleasant and rational when I'm at work and it really frustrates me when colleagues don't respond in kind. I guess it comes down to people handling stress in different ways. Not everyone goes into calm, focused mode like I do and I suppose I shouldn't expect everyone to deal with things in the same way I do. Things at work are very busy and stressful right now and I guess my assistant responds to stress by becoming irritable and argumentative.

Btw, I'm not buying her a present. She doesn't deserve one.
