When I was taking Celexa, it was working well on my anxiety, but making me feel quite brain-foggy and zombified. So, my doc added a small dose of Wellbutrin to cut down on those side effects. The combo worked well. I had a bit more energy and felt a bit more clear-headed.

Later on, after I had been off both meds for a while, my doc put me on a low dose of Wellbutrin alone because I was feeling mildly depressed... mainly just blah. Well, it ended up making me EXTREMELY depressed... scary, not-like-me-at-all kind of depression, so I had to stop taking it.

Now I'm on Lexapro and having the brain fog and the zombie feeling again and headaches every evening. It's not as bad as it was on Celexa, but it is frustrating. My doc suggested adding Wellbutrin again to battle those side effects, but I'm scared because I had such a bad reaction to it last time... I'm also wondering if it might be fine just like it was with Celexa. I'm just so afraid of doing something that makes me worse... wondering if I should play it safe and just put up with the brain fog and headaches.

Has anyone had a similar experience? Having a drug work well in combo with something else but be absolutely HORRID on its own?
