It sounds like it worked out okay, granite - I'm glad you made that choice. My T's office is at the top of a long and fairly narrow staircase, and there is no waiting room, so even if we were to arrive at the same time, walking and chatting would not be an option. I don't do much small talk in any case, and I can't imagine doing it with T. I'd say hello, same as I do when we meet in the street, but not more than that.
