Hello serloco, I'm not sure if there are any professionals here that would answer your question as this is a peer led community. But I will give you my thoughts on this as I have had a very special interest in psychology all of my adult life.
They say that 80% of the brains activity in awareness and subliminal communication is hidden. That is 20% activity that we are aware of and 80% unconscious that most are not so atuned to. Amazing!
Now to hullicinations and such. A friend of mine, many years ago said he had a friend that kept seeing 'angels.' The person seeing the angels may have been said to be psychotic and hallucinating. But who is to say that? I am not religious but this person could see angels and experienced great comfort from it. Incidently, religious experiences happen to a lot of people, hallucination or no? So, many of these experiences are within the normal human range and often have serious meaning and there is a large proportion of people that experience hallucinations with absolutely no distress. The issue though is when those 'hallucinations' become distressing and then treatment may be required.
Thanks for your insights, very interesting subject.
