Don't know much but is this is an official diagnosis for people? Will be coming clean with my doc next week and need more info on this.

Any info will help as well as knowing I'm not alone.
Hello hunny. First of all it's now true that the official diagnosis book which Psych Dr's use to diagnose all disorders/illnesses includes B.E.D. or EDNOS. Binge eating disorder and the other is Eating disorders not otherwise specified. There are sub~headings to these of course as some people binge and then starve, some include self induced vomiting to limit weight gain and others simply binge (usually at night) and become obese. These are just as serious as the more well known anorexia and bulimia. Night eating is becoming better know as people talk about it. Some actually binge every night and FORGET entirely ................ until they find the evidence in the morning! Much to their utter horror of course. I have suffered from ALL of these and have for 33 years. At this time I'm severely restricting. Age and size is of no consequence at all, we come in all shapes, sizes and ages. If these things mentioned don't worry you, or they are not making you feel ill or depressed, then it will be difficult to change your habits. If you are worried or suffering anxiety over your eating habits, you really need to see your Dr or professional health worker. Help IS out there because eating disorders are becoming a serious threat to peoples health, both to men AND women. Hugs. XXXX
