For me therapy is always needed but I have childhood abuse that has left me.with many issues. My main abuser is still alive which is my father. I go weekly.and I see her like a life coach. She helps me see how much I've grown and improved. I.know it's important to start see these things in yr self and I do but I respect her input. I think It's really important to fully trust yr therapist...that way you can be totally open and honest with them. Right now I'm seeing her weekly and when I'm more stable I see her every other week. Even without a history of abuse it's important to treat our bp with therapy. Episodes can leave us with trauma and depression...and therapists can help us see if we are in an episode too. Sometimes it's hard to see those symptoms in ourselves. I hope you have a great connection with yr New therapist. If not there are many excellent ones out there! Good luck to you. Hugs
