Yet, there are plenty folks who grew up here and love it--and want to spend their whole lives here. Sometimes I wish I could go back and live in the house where I spent my whole life until I went off to college. It was a farm, miles away from a nearby town, so I know what you mean.
Either way is okay. I know it's frustrating to hear of folks who put down where you live, but that's just their current opinion. Who knows, maybe some of them will even return to the area at some point.

Thanks for your reply and welcome. I can totally see where they are coming from in wanting to spread their wings. I was very much the same way and I do like to travel as much as I can. I feel as if these individuals are blaming the location for the negativities in their lives when it's really in fact, something else. After moving around to other cities I gained a new found respect for my home and I just home that someday they will learn to appreciate it as well for what it is.
