Ok, so I got my first SSI disability review. I did my phone interview with the help of my therapist. Then, I got paperwork. It said that the paperwork needed to be in before July 15th. I could not get it in on time, so I called the SSI office to let them know that I had no help and couldn't get it in on time. The woman who answered my call said "It's easy. You can fill it out yourself." She said it in a rude, condescending tone of voice. Then, she mentioned needing to have it signed by a witness. I told her that I didn't know how to get that done. I thought that it was one of those notarizing things where you take it to the town hall or something and they stamp the paper. I wasn't sure, so I told the woman on the phone that I didn't know how to do it. Then she said to me "YOU do know how to sign your name, right?" in a very rude, degrading manner. My lips and voice started quivering. It then became very difficult to talk because you know how it is when you are about to cry and someone makes you talk. Then, I just said "Yeah" in a nervous/ upset tone of voice. Then, she told me to get it in as soon as possible. I mailed the paperwork last night, so it should be there today. Will they take my disability away since it was late? Also, should I make a complaint now, or at all, or after I get my SSI renewed if I do? I am already depressed and that woman made me feel worse. I should have apologized for my worthless existence and for being nothing more than a burden.

Next up. It is July 18th. The end of the month will be coming up. How soon do they usually make a decision? If they don't decide by August, will I still get my benefits for that month? I am low on money and I have a huge debt. I have not been to the hospital since I got my SSI benefits, but I have had several close calls. I am beginning to feel really crappy again.

This is causing so much anxiety. It is constantly taking over my mind on top of other numerous problems.
