I have this. When I went for the exam she did an external exam and I nearly jumped off the table when she pushed where my ovary was. She signed me up for an internal ultrasound. I am NOT A FAN of the internal ultrasound. They found huge cysts. So I had surgery to remove some. A few years later and everything is messed up again. I went back and she asked me if I just wanted to be past all of it and have a hysterectomy. Best thing I ever did. Turned out I had really really bad endometriosis. One of my ovaries was actually adhered to my colon. Gross I know.
So now no uterus, only one ovary, and a lot less pain. And no periods....did I mention no periods? I love that part.
