Sleep deprivation has been a problem for me for over 10 years now and in my case it not by choice. I don't have the "I can get one more thing done" mentality. I usually fall asleep within 10 minutes of my head hitting the pillow but I usually on sleep 1 - 1.5 hours then I'm wide awake and up again for hours.
My dreams seem to be what wakes me most of the time, also often I stop breathing which really wakes me quickly.
I have had sleep studies, EEGs, breathing machines, many different sleeping pills, meditation and yet the problem persists. Sometimes it makes me just a tad irritable and unable to think properly.
If I actually got 3 nights good sleep and started to feel better my head would explode from all the sudden mental clarity.
