Did you discuss with your doctor before stopping your meds? I am a firm believer that it is really important to not stop medication cold turkey because the side effects can be really bad. While I am not a doctor your symptoms do sound like withdrawl..especially if you just stopped taking them.
If your doctor put you on medication it was probably because he/she thought that you should be on them. If you had strep throat would you take the antibiotics? This is no different...the medication is to make you feel better. There is nothing wrong with that.
