Hi Friends,

Started on my taxes yesterday. I'm thinking surely I can do my own taxes, and didn't want to pay some outrageous amount, last year it was $175.00 , this year. Anyway now that I have been wading through the 1040 instructions and forms, I've started to realize that I wasn't so stupid to pay people to do this in prior years. The part I'm working on right now says I need to read Publication 930, or pay the IRS $380 to estimate a dollar figure. Go figure.

To make everything worse, husband has had to major temper tantrums this morning. He is starting a new job on Monday, and I know he is anxious about it. I am too. He is 67, and I really don't know if he has what it takes to work at this point.
