When your ego gets stroked you feel on top of the world.

When you take any kind of criticism as the worst kind of personal attack and lash out accordingly and the person that criticized you is left thinking, "wow, what the hell." and is feeling extremely upset, but you don't care. They had it coming for having the audacity to question your flawlessness.

When your sense of entitlement is so strong that you're honestly clueless as to why people aren't at your beck and call 24/7.

When you hear that you "exploit" people and you think, "You call it 'exploitation', I call it getting what I want."

When you constantly intimidate anyone and everyone you encounter.

When you are called "heartless" frequently because of your blatant lack of empathy.

When you have a long list of admirers, and an equally long list of people who despise you.

When you get diagnosed with NPD, instead of being horrified, you think, "well that explains a lot... oh well."

When your ex's stalk you even though they hate you, because they're still obsessing about you and it's not even your ego talking, either.

When you can shatter someone else's self-esteem without a second thought.

When you don't care that you don't care.

When you discard someone as a source of "supply" and move on so fast that it shatters your ex source emotionally even more than they already were.

When you are perfectly capable of acting kind and generous, when it's a way for you to get something you want.

When you exude so much self-confidence that you get people asking you, "what's your secret?"

When you are shamelessly self-centered.

When you think absolutely everything is about you and are shocked when you find out something isn't.

When you don't just "think" you are superior, you KNOW you are superior.
