I once told a guy I didn't like wine and he believed he could pick one that I would like. He said I would insult him if I didn't drink it because it can make a man appear to have made a bad choice.

I wasn't trying to hurt his feelings so I suggested he drink his wine and we switch glasses but I was unrefined and didn't understand these things. If I wasn't so young and immature I may have handled it differently but I was unrefined and a bit irritated.

I poured my wine into his glass and asked the waitress to give him the check.

I'm lucky he didn't leave me there. We went out a few more times and it was fun while it lasted.
