Yes - but then we've all been kids at one point. I wonder how much my parents were damaged as children? Some people are just born that way and aren't affected much if at all by their subsequent situation...but if i recognize that my PD, for example, is caused by a mixture of genetics and upbringing - maybe the same could be said for my mother? It would certainly explain a lot of her behaviour, in fact i suspect she might have even been abused by the same person who abused me.

I guess the bottom line is that these situations are rarely clear cut. Which is unfortunate. So many suffering souls.....
