Yes, what a smart thing to do! You didn't get wild and do anything so they think less of you. You simply resigned because your health wouldn't permit you to continue.
I've quit many things due to my illness. I've never regretted that, but HAVE regretted staying in situations too long and making a fool of myself. Hope you don't feel bad too long. Let yourself move on.
