Thank you waggie but I meant I like to remind myself I don't fit in (relate) really with people who have NPD. (Although I must admit to doing a little studying in the hopes of working out what my pdoc may have seen.)
Sometimes I think I can maybe see something there but for the most part I don't think I have anymore narcissistic traits than your average BPD. Besides, most of the articles you read make a big deal of everyone have narcissistic traits and yet those people aren't diagnosed. I demand all people now be labelled with narcissistic traits! lol
I know I certainly had a moment when I realized all these other people were absolutely horrified at the thought of NPD while in comparison my reaction was to get angry and declare my pdoc an idiot lol To be fair that little add on did come after a less than ideal session which is why I think he was just being a d***.
I remember reading in a thread somewhere written by 'victims' of PD's where a large percentage of them said they would take a NPD partner over a BPD because at least the NPD can pretend to be normal while the BPD is all crazy all the time.
I know I have been difficult. Am pretty certain I may have semi traumatized one T.
