In my opinion it's not a good enough reason to break up with your girlfriend. I hope you're not looking for an excuse to break up. Treat your woman like the queen she is. If shes a keeper, she'll treat you like a king. It's a two way street after all. You may also want to put some things she likes on your shopping list so the next time you offer to make her something she has a few choices.
