i do .5 klonopin to sleep (rls). if it helps, if you can fight through the first week, it does get better. i got pregnant and had to stop. i have rls so that piece kicked back up but after the first week (possibly two) i found i could fall asleep again (even if my sleep sucked). i'd been on klonopin for several years too.
