I have this furry Samoyed mix dog, Kelley, whom I adopted from the Lexington, KY pound many years ago. Actually, my daughters then roommate was going to return her to the pound the day I visited, and I brought her home with me instead. Kelley is the sweetest thing!~ Anyway, she has this snowdog fur! Very thick undercoat, especially around her rump. Over the past couple of years, I've purchased several electric pet clippers in an attempt to give here a summer haircut, since brushing her is an endless, futile task of more and more shedding fur, and I think she'd like having a short haircut for summer. This last pair of clippers, purchased at Petsmart for $49 were no better, and the salesperson told me if they didn't work, I could return them within 30 days. I already have them repackaged for return when I go by the store. Anyone here have similar experiences? I've ordered an new pair of clippers for $150 online. I'm still skeptical that even these will work! Anyone here have success with clippers...names, brands?
