finebutnotokay, I do not share this information unless I feel it is necessary. Never when I am first getting to know people (accept here of course  ). I would wait until the friendship develops to a deeper level. I've known people for many years and not brought the subject up. Then on the other hand, there have been people who are comforted that I shared this with them early on in our friendship. It really depends on the person.
