Ali26,
for what it's worth; I always felt like I knew my body better than any doctor--after 10 years or so of suffering and occassionally allowing them to put me on antidepressants (that never seemed to work) I finally went to a psychiatrist who wanted to put me on lithium.
I thought as many as 10 years ago that I was manic-depressive (after watching Mr. Jones), but no one took me seriously--now I am more convinced than ever and it seems as though I am now finally being taken seriously.
Take care of yourself, but if the meds don't seem to work, find a psychiatrist who is trained in psychotrobic meds and will be able to HELP you find the best way to great health.
Hang in there,
Blessings,
Jon
PS. I'm learning that self-medicating in any form is never a good idea, but find someone capable of helping guide you through the med journey is a better idea I think. I HATE DRUGS!!! But I hate the depression, PTSD, and BIPOLAR even worse; I will not be defeated.
