Hey you are never ever meant to brush curly hair, it rips it and destroys the curl pattern. Instead, use a wide tooth comb when your hair is coated in conditioner in the shower. Other than that, you can re-wet and scrunch it every day or sleep in braids so it doesnt tangle, but with kinky hair dry detangling is really bad for it.
