Glad you slept well. Taking the edge off is sometimes good enough. Whether you want to try another med is up to you of course. I found that taking the edge off allowed me to do more which in turn helped ease the anxiety. FWIW the PDOC who helped me the most was the one who switched me from Ativan to Klonopin.
If your anx is really bad then addiction isn't something I'd be concerned about at this point. Addiction is a concern long term of course but the fear of addiction is why far too many people aren't getting the anx or pain meds they need.
