I wonder if it's more common in the hotter climates.
But yes, summer depression can be a form of seasonal depression. The winter blues is more common, but some of us get the summer blues. My depression intensifies in the summer, so I can sympathise. I feel horrible, being stuck inside while other people are 'enjoying' their summer. And so much emphasis is put on being happy in the summer, that I find my depression intensifies a lot because of that. And the heat. I can't stand the heat.
I keep reminding myself that fall is coming. It helps sometimes.
