Hi new here, kinda jumping in...
I have a TBI and take 30mg adderall and 3 mg klonopin a day
my med are fluctuated in dosage to avoid tolerance issues,
and to help keep serotonin and dopamine levels in check
he's a good psychiatrist, and follows some new guideline by the dept of def
saved my sanity, after 3 doctors put me on a battery of meds
with side effects worsening my condition...
now it seems my off label is becoming more standard,
thanks to the dept of def and their massive research efforts
SOOOO, here's my question..
i have looked and seen multiple people on some very serious meds
why are so many of you on multiple ssri/ssrni meds?
after massive research i found i great psych and the right meds
also through my research i have learned that mixing ssri/ssrni meds
is pretty bad on your gaba/serotonin and dopamine..
i saw one post where someone was on 5 ssris.....
we all know that pill mills and drug addicts have changed the medical field
it has also effected the quality of life for millions of people w/ real issues
i agree that xanax is an evil drug, it caused me hypertensive emergency
after 90 days of 4mg use the doctor cut me off and gave me prozac
He almost killed me! 185/133 because of excitotoxicity....
but klonopin and valium have an extremely long half life much safer
i'm just curious why so many people take multiple ssri/ssrni?
have you researched your meds and what part it effects?
sorry just shocked because of my own personal experience with them.
no one med is a cure all, a cocktail of meds is a patch
a lot of doctors treat symptoms, not the underlying issue
and now there is a new wave that are treating people with crap
like gabapentin, trazodone, and busbar combos
just prescribe them valium and be done with it,
impossible to overdose and no tolerance issues
i don't know, these drug manufacturers have to make money too
why not destroy my liver, kidneys and brain, i'm mental right...lol...
ok sorry for the long post, i just feel bad for people that reach out
end up on a psych med and causes them to commit suicide
when counseling and valium short term would work
TIL they figure out the underlying issue, RIP CHAD BRAYALL, Abilify!!
