Yes... hey, welcome! Charley went in at Pt Charlotte Harbor... and is a strong Cat 4. I think they have shut off power in the area... to make things safer... and with the water in the area, phone lines whether above (wind) or under ground are affected. PLUS cell phones are on towers, dishes on towers, and then are probably blown down.
Communications will be difficult, so try not to worry because of that.
Try and locate a local Ham radio operator. They are the backup for communications, and have portable power and antennas. The local EOCs all have Amateur Radio system set ups, and usually the American Red Cross have agreements also... humanitarian messages of health and safety are welcomed. You can locate one through your the ARRL (american radio relay league) which has a website.
If not there, try local police or red cross for a phone number of a local ham good luck. I hope all is well. No, it doesn't look good. I barely made it through Andrew... and we were well prepared.
