Doctors always suspect thyroid issues and diabetes in me because my symptoms are textbook for both. Whenever I go to a new doctor, they insist on checking them even though I inform them I've already been checked many times before. In fact, my tests show thyroid and blood sugar levels that are not only "within range" but pretty optimal. It's quite frustrating because, like, why AM I having all of these symptoms of blood sugar and thyroid issues without evidence of either?
I know some people think the standard thyroid tests are inadequate, so before anyone mentions that, I have had the full panel of tests. All of the antibodies and T3s and T4s and whatever else. It's been a while since I had the full panel, so I forget the exact names of the tests, but I know I got everything people on thyroid awareness sites recommend.
