Well I find distraction works well. Yoga I have to focus on instructions, mindfulness is a way to let go of the thoughts or watch them go by or internally label them THOUGHTS thoughts and let them go.
Having jobs or projects to work on helps especially if you are helping someone else. Whenever we take focus off ourselves the thoughts diminish in importance.
