I had my first panic attack this weekend. I've been working on my child abuse trauma the past 2 months. I haven't talked to anyone aside from my support group and therapists.
I was at a cabin with old friends and thought I'd bring it up because of my emotional triggers. As I began to share, I had a panic attack and was hyperventilating. I wanted to escape but had no where to really run to but a corner.
The event was humiliating especially since I felt debilitated from hyperventilating. I am now worried that it will happen again and get nervous when I go out in public.

Any word of advice?
