I'm just looking for advice on what to do as I have a 5 and a half hour shift (retail sales associate - mostly work on the registers) after having an ingrown toe nail removed that morning (Monday). A little less than 8 hours between the procedure and my shift, so the numbing shots will wear off by then, and having had this done 4 times already this year, I know I'm going to be in serious pain. Of course I'll take Motrin beforehand, and keep it elevated and iced before work, but is there anything I can do at work? It's not like I can sit or put my feet up. I don't even know if my work shoes will fit over the bandage.
