I've heard there's a link between symptoms of OCD and bipolar - I'm diagnosed with bipolar but not OCD.

In brief, I had a traumatic experience last March and contacted a friend about it who seemed to be an appropriate person to share it with at the time. He wasn't and eventually asked me to stop, but I just COULD NOT control myself and kept emailing him with more details (it was a domestic abuse issue). He had legitimate reasons not to want to know, but I kept pressuring him to show a bit of empathy, which I felt was lacking. He again berated me a few weeks ago about it. I came to my senses in part because he spelled out the dangers of him knowing too much (due to his position, he could be mandated to report to DSS for child neglect due to circumstances). But as he pointed out, I crossed boundaries and disrespected him and his wishes. Our friendship will never be the same again. We reconciled to some extent but I have to see him often 9 months a year and it might be awkward. Anyway, anyone ever do this kind of thing? This is a very embarrassing first for me. Does it sound like an OCD behavioor?
