So I recently came across this drug, a "miracle" drug called Provigil. Works similar to Ritalin/Aderoll, except there is no high or euphoria or you don't "feel good". You just feel more alert, wakeful and focused. It's been claimed as the drug from the movie from "Limitless".

Why do I want this drug? I tire easily, and have very little energy. While I was in hs (just graduated) I thought this was a sleeping issue. i thought I wasn't getting enough sleep so my dr gave me some sleeping prescriptions, two to be exact, both of those didn't work. Now it's the summer, and I have nothing but time. When I get out of bed, I'm still tired, throughout the day, my energy slightly improves for about 1-3 hours. But I do not have enough energy to do things like workout, and that's the only physical thing I would be doing. Back when I was in school, If I went to school for 3 hours, I'd come home and fall asleep again for another 3 hours, then awaken and back to sleep 3-4 hours later. It was a vicious cycle.

This drug will truly improve me, and my life. I'm getting a job very soon, and I have no idea how I can do that job without being tired! I haven't worked out in about 6 months simply due to low energy. What I want to do is get a job and begin working out, this drug will allow me to do both of those, while still having additional energy. Provigil has no major side effects, creates no euphoria (so I'm not getting high or anything), and it's not addictive.

How can I ask my doctor for this drug, without seeming like I'm a drug seeker? My suspicion is I either have Narcolepsy, or this is due to depression. I don't get sleep attacks, but I'm constantly tired no matter what. What i've done is keep a 2 week sleep journal to record my sleeping patterns, I plan to show that to my doctor cause I read online they might be able to determine narcolepsy based off of my sleep. Would it help if I showed all my studies I've found to help back me up? Cause I've found several sources which says it helps with depression.
