Mom is staying with me for a few days. I'm so nervous I don't know what to do with myself and Mom is the same way. Her furnace went down and she can't stay there. She gets very nervous when she's not in her own home and can stay on her own routine. She's also terrified we won't let her go home. I feel so sorry for her about that...

Anyway, Mom is very hard of hearing. I was using the phone in another room and said, "Cher is going to come over to listen for the phone while I'm gone." Mom screamed, "I am not senile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Well, instead of seeing the humor of it all, I had to go into a long winded speech about I have hearing loss too, and that I understand how easy it is to misunderstand what people are saying, etc.

Tonight I told Mom, "I have a fever." She immediately screamed, "You're having a seizure??????????????" I laughed so hard I almost fell out of my chair. When I was finally able to talk, I said, "I think you would have noticed if I was having a seizure." She started giggling and said, "Well, I thought so, too."
