The admission process was so much easier then going through the ER, where you have to see the ER physician before seeing the psych nurse and if needed the psychiatrist on call. If your psychiatrist is affiliated with the hospital the staff will treat you with a lot more respect. Trust me.

I agree. I think my psychiatrist is on the board, where I stayed. He made sure I was treated well and I got to see him every day. It was miserable being there, but safe. All of the nurses were very kind.
