Humor...it is just the best tension releaser isn't it??? LOLOL

When I was caring for my mom, she had been going through radiation treatments for brain cancer. The doc had told us that mornings would be difficult for her and she would be "out of it" at times.

My first child was 4 at the time and had the game called "Ants in the Pants". I don't know if you remember it or not, but it's plastic pants with suspenders and you flick the plastic ants at it to try and get into the pants as many ants as you can.

Well, the game in it's box was sitting ontop of mom's dresser at the foot of mom's bed. She woke one morning and I went in to bring her some brekkie and she's looking up at the ceiling with this perplexed look on her face. I said "Mom, what's the matter?"

Are you ready for this???? LOLOL

She says, "Jean, is there any way the ants could have gotten out of the box and gone onto the ceiling? I see them crawling around up there!"

OMG....I nearly wet my pants laughing so hard...and she's looking at me with this questioning look in her eyes. I finally was able to spit out...."No mom, those are plastic ants in the game, they aren't alive and can't get out of the box." She then cracks a big wide grin and says...."Of course they can't! How silly of me to think that!"

I will never forget that time with mom, as it was the last time that her and I had a laugh together before she passed. She had a great sense of humor....and when I need to laugh, I think of that time together and it always brings a smile to my face and my heart
