IQ tests...I pay them no heed. Why? Because its a number on a scale and no one should be reduced to a number on a scale. We're humans. We can't be measured. everyone's brain works in different ways. Someone who may have a high IQ on a test - which, really, only tests a specific part of your brain - may have smarts, sure, but that doesn't mean they're street smart. Nor does it mean that they'll be the master of everything.
IQ tests don't test creativity, or street smarts, or life in general. It's pretty much just problem solving and, in my opinion, unless you want to become someone like Sheldon Cooper, it doesn't matter so much. After all, look at him in social situations. He'd have a high IQ but has no street smarts whatsoever. Each one of us has our strengths and weaknesses and that's the sort of thing that won't show up on a test.
And I'd also like to say for the record: just because someone has a lower IQ doesn't mean they're not smart. It just means they don't do so well in a standardised test.
