I rebelled and got my ears pierced at 18. Ear piercing was never allowed in my family. Makeup wasn't allowed either, nor was fashion. We were not supposed to look like other kids did, and not allowed to be teenagers or to grow up. I had glasses and my family fought me on getting contact lenses, telling me that it was wrong to want to change how I look. I paid for my own contact lenses. How are contact lenses changing how you look but glasses aren't?

I wear light makeup now, and I will go out with or without it, depending on the situation. I almost never go out with glasses on even though when I do, I get compliments on my glasses. I'm told that I have a unique style, but I can't figure out what is unique about it.
