IQ measures a specific Western kind of pattern matching and noise filtering. This is somewhat helpful in some areas of learning and academia which is I guess why we used it in the past.

The problem with an exceptionally high IQ is that it's often combined with deficiencies in other areas meaning that it can be difficult to channel it into success. This is often seen in children with learning disabilities.

I'm not sure it means much honestly, and I sort of try to forget my IQ. It's a number and I'm a person as are all of us. It's easy for me to get lost in categorizing and quantifying things that aren't necessarily meaningful or helpful so I try to let things like this just kind of be as they are without getting into it too much on a personal level.
